Dashboard Tour
An overview of the PromptVault dashboard layout, navigation, prompt tabs, and account controls.
The PromptVault dashboard is organized around a left sidebar and a main work area. Use it to browse prompts, edit drafts, review versions, run audits, connect integrations, and manage workspace access.
Primary Navigation
| Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Prompts | Workspace home: every prompt with folder, model, owner, and version status. |
| Drafts | Prompts with in-progress draft work. |
| Activity | Reverse-chronological feed of workspace changes. |
| Integrations | Connected observability, audit, and external destinations. |
| AI Evaluator | Prompt audit results and suggested improvements. |
Below the primary navigation is the Folders tree. Prompts are grouped by folder, and a small draft indicator shows prompts with open work.
Prompt Detail Tabs
Open any prompt and you get two tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Editor | Edit source, model, temperature, variables, and save target. |
| Versions | Review history, compare versions, promote drafts, and roll back. |
Use Cmd+S or Ctrl+S inside the editor to open the save modal.
Workspace and Account
The bottom of the sidebar shows the current workspace and signed-in user. From there you can open:
| Destination | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Member directory, invitations, and owner-only management. |
| Settings | API keys and workspace-level toggles such as staging. |
| Sign out | Ends the current dashboard session. |
Header Search
The top bar exposes global prompt search. Type part of a slug or folder name to jump directly to a prompt. Results show live status, staging status, and whether the prompt has an open draft.
If the workspace has no API keys yet, the header links to Settings so you can create one.
